I'm so sorry for my Engurishuuu really omg I'm definitely not good at explaining things but still I hope it helps somehow.... - Feel free to ask questions! I'll do my best in answering what I know. - It's not a tutorial suited for beginners with SAI, but if you still want to try, I suggest to search first a tutorial that explains the SAI TOOLS well such as : - I'm just showing the way I draw stars in SAI, there sure are more ways, and you're not obligated to follow it strictly! *U* - I'd appreciate linking back something you drew using this tutorial, but it's not obligatory.
I'm sorry for that ugly star appearing there and there, I had to draw it. I HAD TO.
Thank you so much for making these amazing and comprehensive tutorials! Truly an inspiration for someone like myself that is still very inexperienced with digital painting and exploring new techniques in general.
so i make the background starts first before i would make a path of stars down the middle that would be glowing (like your picture 2nd from left) Im trying to do a pattern like that but i dont know how you blurred the color mine looks off.
sorry for the late reply! Yes, you should fill the sky with stars before doing a path of stars. The path of stars is made of copy-pasting numerous times stars from the filled sky. (many in number) I just made them a tiny bit smaller so they'll look even more detailed. Afterwards, I go on an addition layer and add a dark blue colour with the airbrush. You could even add solid colour and blur it with the blur tool.
darkrecon7890.deviantart.com/a… here it is, i know its not your cloud tut but could you give me some tips? i feel i blended the clouds too much but i left parts blank to try and blend like you. And maybe some advice on the thing over all if you could? thanks
Wonderful tutorial thank you! A little question! When i draw the stars, they dont look nearly as vibrant and almost turquoise as yours. I'm in the luminosity layer. Am I doing something wrong? What color did you use?? THank you!!
Hello! Thank you for the kind words! I use white for the stars, mostly everytime! Have you checked the pencil's opacity and shape settings? The turquoise stars are stars made smaller and smaller to induce diversity and a good flow, they were white at the beginning. Please let me know if you still have problems with the sharpness of the stars.
The white stars turned turquoise as I made their size smaller :'D it's hard for objects that get transformed to maintain the quality! If you still feel that your stars might lack sharpness, I suggest to use the filter from photoshop called "smart sharpen" not at all
Your art is just absolutely amazing! I loooove it!! just a question, i work in photoshop elements 9 but im not too happy with it, would you recommend paint tool sai, sketchbook pro or any other program? and again, your art is so wonderful
Sorry for the late reply and thank you for the kind words!! I would totally recommend SAI as its brushes are one of a kind. You have less tools and diversity options than PS, but SAI is made for painting & drawing in your style and a fun way plus with a superb quality. I, one, feel numb everywhere after I use photoshop due to the time taken for fixing mistakes and such. I don't have sketchbook pro, sorry.
