I do not believe in rating systems, they are a means to an arbitrary end so I will score it as such; to my personal precedence.

Vision is not always synonymous with scope but in this case I would say its most powerful & definitive trait is sheer scope. This is both visually: bright reds mixed with dark blues, the clear sky against the cloudy smog who's tendrils appear to surround and ensnare, as well as the idiom you described.

Using angels as symbols is done to death, especially when they are restricted or bound, giving a sense of sheer impossible helplessness... However in this case, not only is it perfect, it uses that 'simplified' nature I personally love: wings and a halo without the limitless glamor often poured on deities. (Also I love that halo so much!)

Now I could lie but it truth the father in me probably increased the personal impact of the piece but using a child as the angel is strike one, in a 'Sundays Best' dress is strike two & the little toy looking wand a strike three. My heart strings will need some time to recover.

Blood bound shackles, a blood filling balloon (Tastefully applied without the Hollywood overkill treatment), the outstretched hand, the Nephalim reminiscent wings, the red scorched planet beneath her feet, realistic tears & more little biblical references then you can poke a stick at. (Intentional or otherwise) It is spectacular and there is more than I can can individually analyze without dulling its magic towards myself. I am also sure with the sheer amount I have missed something.

I want to reach in and pop the balloon, returning the world to her grasp so badly it hurts.

As a writer, albeit not a popular one: I have to commend you on it, truly a piece I would be proud to show for all to see in my home. You have a gifted hand and mind that can only grow further, stronger and more beautiful. Let your art prosper & take faith it makes hearts sing, even if in the silence you may never hear it.
